SHPT School of Library Science is one of the oldest institutions in Mumbai and was founded in 1961 for the development of the library sciences. This is a coeducational institution situated at 1, Nathibai Thackersey Road in Mumbai, and affiliated to S.N.D.T. Women’s University. Integrated (Master of Library and Information Science), a two-year course; the PGD Library Science (Postgraduate Diploma in Library Science), a one-year programme; and the Ph.D. in Library and Information Science, a six-year research-orientated programme.
