The College has a well-established women's hostel, funded by the UGC, State Government, and the College development fund, to cater to the needs of female trainees from distant places. This facility facilitates and supports the noble cause of women's education and empowerment. The two-storied hostel has 36 36-seat capacity with a visitor’s zone, a big dining hall, a kitchen, along store room, running water, and electricity. The hostel is under CCTV surveillance and has security guards for 24 hours.
The College has library is small in size but maintains a high standard with the software Koha, including the circulation process. The total number of books in the library is about 10212. It, however, includes a variety of excellent books. The library contains textbooks on ‘Education’ as well as on other subjects, reference books (Dictionaries, Encyclopedias on different subjects, Atlas, etc.), and general books. The library subscribes to a variety of Journals on Education (mainly), Science, and Arts subjects. The collection also includes back volumes of Journals, Magazines, Career guidance books, and News bulletins about employment. Apart from the borrowing facility, the library also has reading room facilities.
The College has a facility for “learning by doing”. The college has a well-equipped lab for Science, Social Science, Educational Technology cum Language, Psychology, Mathematics, and an Art & craft room, Physical Education room, etc.
The college has a very big playground protected by well-built boundary walls on all sides. The ground provides good enough space for the trainees and staff to take walks, play outdoor games, etc. The big trees at the boundary offer a pleasant view to all. The ground is also made accessible by the local community people for conducting karate classes for children, holding games tournaments for local people, taking evening walks by senior citizens, organizing fairs and other festivals like Durga Puja, etc., to ensure a harmonious co-existence with the community. The college ensures a green campus with “free Wi fi Zone”, “No plastic Zone”, and “No Smoking Zone”.
The college has a well-established gymnasium for trainees and staff to ensure their good physical health. The gymnasium has a good variety of equipment for exercising the body and increasing physical strength.
The College'sas an ICT lab with a good number of computers with strong LAN connection and one interactive board, helps trainee teachers to become competent and confident users of ICT-based technology, enriched with the basic knowledge and soft skills to facilitate teaching learning process.
The college has two spacious multipurpose halls, one located on the ground floor, named “Maitree,” and another on the second floor, named “Samhati,” to serve as venues for organizing seminars, observation days, celebrations, and other events that require mass gatherings. The ground floor hall is also made accessible by local schools/organizations and others for organizing programs for the local community.
The College has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
The College has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
The College Alumni Association has been registered under the WEST BENGAL ACT XXVI of 1961 No. S0030334 of 2022-2023 on 13.09.2022. Since the very beginning, alumni have been actively participating in major events, including Cultural Programs, Social Awareness Programs, Gender Sensitization Programs, Webinars, Seminars, Symposia, Blood Donation Camps, Community Outreach Activities, Placements, mentorship during the Pre-Internship and Internship Program, and more.
The first meeting of the Alumni Association after registration was held on 12.11.2022 with the president, Dr. Pratip Kumar Basu, the secretary, Subrata Dutta, the treasurer, Suravi Ghosh, and other members. The membership form has been prepared. The membership fee is Rs 100. A WhatsApp group has been formed with the registered members. The alumni association has a separate Bank account.
The College has a Placement Cell for all the Students.
The College, in addition to its laboratories and pedagogy classrooms, has two classrooms, namely ‘Teesta’ and ‘Torsa’, named after two major rivers of North Bengal. These classrooms are well-equipped with ICT support, including free Wi-Fi, fixed projectors, boards, and an audio system.
The college offers a Wi-Fi facility for its students.
The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.
