Smt. VHD Central Institute of Home Science College Bangalore, it was set up in 1961 is an affiliated college situated at Bangalore, Karnataka. This English-medium co-educational college, situated in a sprawling 4-acre campus, provides courses of study in 32 different specialization areas in 8 courses leading to degrees in home science and related disciplines. The college offers education to a total of 1,850 students and is staffed by 30 qualified and committed members of the faculty. NAAC accredited Institute, Smt VHDB Central Institute of Home Science College is dedicated to shaping the home science and other related fields through high standards of education.

The college provides postgraduate degree in Sociology and many M.Sc courses in different strands of Home Science which includes of Early Childhood Education, Extension Education and Communication, Food and Nutrition, Family Resource Management, Human Development, and Textile and Clothing.
