Sree Sastha College of Education, Chembarambakkam Admission Process

The Sree Sastha College of Education, Chembarambakkam, is a national college for teacher education. This college offers all the programs that would-be teachers pursue and is duly recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE.  Sree Sastha College of Education admits into its programs strictly on merit with a process that is absolute and above board. The college strictly adheres to the provisions of the regulations provided by the State Government, the UT administration, and the affiliated university. The criteria prescribed for selection include merit in qualifying examinations, entrance tests, or other selection criteria specified by the relevant authorities for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs. 

Application Process

1. Check Eligibility: Ensure that you fulfill the academic qualifications for the selected program (B.Ed or M.Ed).

2. Entrance Examination: Prepare and appear for the relevant entrance examination as specified by the State Government or affiliated university.

4. Document Submission: Collect and submit all other relevant documents such as degrees and other certificates as specified by the college.

5. Merit List: Await the declaration of the merit list according to the selection criteria.

6. Counseling and Admission: If selected, counseling should be attended, and thereafter, admission including fee payment is done. 

7. Orientation: One is to attend an orientation program to be briefed about the college facilities, faculty, and curriculum.

Admission Process Degree Wise

B.Ed: The Bachelor of Education course at Sree Sastha College of Education has 100 authorized seats for admission. Admission into the B.Ed course is done based on merit obtained from the qualifying exam and/or entrance examination. The college also considers any additional selection criteria prescribed by the State Government, UT administration, or affiliated universities to warrant a fair approach to admissions for deserving candidates who are passionate about teaching.

M.Ed: 50 seats are made available in the Master of Education program for those educationalists interested in career advancement. For M.Ed, the merit of the candidate will be determined on the basis of the qualifying examination, entrance test, or any method adopted by the state government or university or UT administration. This rigorous selection is undertaken to get the best candidates admitted to the program.
