36 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Economics shall be for a minimum duration of three years, excluding coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, offered by the Panjab University, Chandigarh
Eligibility Criteria
i) A Master's degree in Economics or an equivalent qualification from a recognised University with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per UGC norms). Candidates must qualify the entrance examination conducted by the affiliating University and / or UGC-NET / JRF / equivalent national-level test.
