Sri Mahavir Prasad Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is a gently budding educational institution dedicated to the empowerment of women through quality education. This affiliated college was established in 2004 and has been nourishing young minds for almost two decades. The compact 0.9-acre campus in Surya Nagar, Rajaji Puram, offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in a variety of subjects. The institute has a total student enrolment of 448 and a faculty strength of 58, with a very favourable student-teacher ratio. It has the approval of the National Council for Teacher Education and thus meets the national standards regarding teacher education programmes. 

Facilities provided in the Sri Mahavir Prasad Mahila Mahavidyalaya make life quite interesting for learning and development to students. In the institutional complex lies a well-equipped library, which stocks 10,589 books, 17 educational journals, and 8 encyclopedias. This 70-seater library acts as the students' nerve centre for academic research and study. Students are also provided with various laboratories like a language lab, technology lab, psychology lab, and science lab, which would help in practical learning. A computer lab equipped with 100 computers aids the students in becoming conversant with state-of-the-art technology. Auditorium and Sports facilities serve the extracurricular activities and events in the college. Canteen and a health centre with all first-aid facilities meet the daily needs and health requirements of the students. 

Sri Mahavir Prasad Mahila Mahavidyalaya offers a wide array of seven courses across diversified disciplines. It offers UG full-time courses in BA, B.Com, and B.El.Ed. The PG courses include M.Ed and MA Education. It also has professional courses like B.Ed and D.El.Ed, whose beneficiaries are those students who wish to become teachers one day. The approved intake for B.Ed is 100 while that for M.Ed is 50 seats. The D.El.Ed. course has 50 seats. 

The admission procedure for the different courses at Sri Mahavir Prasad Mahila Mahavidyalaya is at variance. Candidates in merit-based courses like D.El.Ed, B.Ed, and M.Ed. are admitted based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examinations.
