The St Anns College for Women, Hyderabad was established in the year 1983 and has emerged from the CSSA Missionary Society. In the year 2015, the ACW Hyderabad was declared as an autonomous institution by the University Grants Commission. St Anns College for Women, Hyderabad is affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad. 

ACW Hyderabad offers B.Sc, B.A, B.Com, P.G.D, B.B.A, M.Sc, MBA, B.Com(Hons), M.Com, and M.C.A courses. Candidates have to apply online on the university’s website for B.Sc./B.Com/BA courses. The affiliated college will offer admissions to ACW Hyderabad based on merit of the qualifying exam, candidates will be shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates will be offered admissions based on merit, institute-level document verification, and fee payment. 

M.B.A/MCA. Candidates have to register online, apply, and appear for ICET conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). For M.Sc/M.Com admissions candidates have to apply and appear for Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (CPGET) conducted by the university. The St Anns College for Women, Hyderabad has a placement cell that creates placement opportunities for the candidates. As per the data provided by the college, the ACW Hyderabad resulted in an 81% placement during the year 2022-2023.
