St John's College of Physical Education, Tirunelveli Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college provides reading, lending, reference, information, and documentation facilities to all categories of staff and students. The college maintains a good and well-equipped library which accommodates 5,000 volumes of books on various disciplines. The library remains open on all working days, and the opening hours of the library are from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

COMPUTER LAB:-

The college has a good computer laboratory with broadband internet connection facilities. The Lab has 30 personal computers with the latest configurations, especially for use by the students.    

PSYCHOLOGY LAB:-

The college has a separate Psychology Laboratory, which has all the required tests and equipment for conducting psychology experiments included in the M.P.Ed., B.P.Ed., and B.P.E.S. syllabi. The arrangement of a counseling cabin is also a specialty for us.    

LANGUAGE LAB:-

The Language Laboratory is one of the distinguishing features of the college. It is neatly furnished and well equipped with 30 computer systems. Our Language Lab is equipped with CLARITY SNET ENGLISH TEACHING software. The students in general and slow learners in English in particular benefit a lot from enhancing their skills in English through regular and periodical usage.

SCIENCE LAB:-

Separate science laboratories, both for Physical Science and Biological Science,e with necessary apparatus and equipment,t are an added advantage to the college.

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY / LABORATORY:-

The college gives primary importance to the application of Educational Technology in Teaching and Learning. The Educational Technology Lab is equipped with an LCD Multi-Media projector with a large screen for Multi-Media Presentations. OHP for projecting transparencies, video camera, digital camera, TV, DVD, and other modern devices. Students are trained in multimedia presentations for their lessons during the internship and teaching practice. The college is also equipped with a LAN CD, along with a computer installed in the lecture hall for the use of staff and students

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The seminar hall is equipped with an LCD Projector and Public Addressing Sound System with a seating capacity of 200.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.
