Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course is a five-year full-time course, which includes 4 years of curriculum plus 1 year of rotating internship, offered by Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and approved by the National Dental Commission (NDC).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission into the BDS course, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

Nationality & Residency
- Must be an Indian National or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder.
- Must satisfy local/non-local residency status in Andhra Pradesh as per the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974.
Educational Qualification
- Should have passed Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or equivalent with the following subjects:
  - Physics
  - Chemistry
  - Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Biotechnology
  - English
- Minimum aggregate marks required in PCB subjects:
  - 50% for General candidates
  - 45% for OC/PH candidates
  - 40% for SC/ST/BC candidates

Admission Details

Admission is strictly based on NEET-UG merit, followed by counselling conducted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada.
The selection is carried out in accordance with the Government Orders (G.O.s) issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Candidates must attend certificate verification as per the schedule notified by the University.
