St Thomas College of Teacher Education, Thodupuzha Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The S.H. Hostel directly attached to the college provides accommodation to the majority of our Female students. The Principal is the ex-officio warden of the hostels. The hostel wardens, appointed by the Manager will look after the discipline and day-to-day management of the hostels as per the directions of the Manager and the Principal.

The college endeavors to maintain a well-equipped Library with 4707 books on different subjects, 500 references 104 Encyclopaedias, and 11 Dictionaries. The colleges subscribe to 11 Journals, 4 magazines, 3 Newspapers, and 1 newsletter. A good collection of educational DVD/CDs are also available in the library.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The College has taken the initiative in spreading Computer literacy in this village since 2005. Computer Education is imparted to B.Ed. and M.Ed students in the Computer laboratory with the Internet and all other allied supporting systems required for a well-equipped and advanced Computer Centre. Training programs for data analysis through the SPSS package are available in the computer laboratory.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College has a well-equipped social science laboratory. It is equipped with apparatuses and materials required for the subject, which helps in creating and maintaining a much-needed congenial atmosphere for effective learning. A science laboratory is functioning in the college. The laboratory is equipped with various apparatus for conducting experiments in Physics/Chemistry/Biology that are appropriate for high school classes. The teacher trainees can make use of the laboratory facilities for conducting demonstrations/experiments.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

A private hostel collaborates with the college management and accommodates our male students. The Principal is the ex-officio warden of the hostels. The hostel wardens, appointed by the Manager will look after the discipline and day-to-day management of the hostels as per the directions of the Manager and the Principal. Students can reside at their homes or in any approved hostels during the training period.  They are not permitted to reside in any private houses or with relatives without the prior sanction of the Principal.  Any change in the residence or address during the training period shall be reported to the Principal immediately.

The college has Classroom facilities for all students.
