Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy is one of the well known colleges in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India, which is specially devoted for the pharmacy education. Sited in village Rithiya, Post Maharipur, Dist. Basti, this affiliated college has gradually carved out a niche for it self in offering quality education in the field of pharmacy. Affiliated with Dr. Harisingh Gour University, SAG, and recognised by AICTE, PCI, SVCoP has a healthy academic ground for the budding pharmacists. 

Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy has facilities that provide for the elaborate learning needs of its students as highlighted below. Library occupies an area of about 1618 square meters and occupies a central position in the organisation of the university’s teaching and educational resources. This information centre comprises of a precious stock of 770 volumes and 77 titles consist of pharmaceutical sciences and allied fields and national/international journals. Though the library is spacious, it can comfortably accommodate over sixty students making it suitable for leaning learning and researching. Apart from the library, college has well equipped departmental laboratories they enabled student to practice different aspects in pharmacy. The institution also boasts quality information technology to make sure that the students update themselves with the current technological trend of the world. In order to accommodate these activities and other forms of gatherings such as seminars, the college possesses it own special auditorium to enhance the scholars’ academic and cultural life at the institution. 

As of now, Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy provides two courses with relation to the pharmacy stream to fulfil the educational requirements and to meet the career goals. The college offers 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) for 60 admission with an additional 4 years Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) for 100 students. These two full time qualifications are intended to give students all the theoretical and technical exposure they need in their line of this business. The total student enrolment in these two programmes is 160, this is in agreement with the college policy of recruiting a required number of students in order to provide for a healthy student to faculty ratio required in teaching.
