Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy, Basti Admission Process

Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy, Basti, is one of the reputed institutes dedicated to providing quality education in pharmacy. The college is located in Uttar Pradesh, India, and offers two major courses of study: Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma). The admission process of Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy is flexible and friendly, with the view of taking qualified students with the passion to pursue a career in pharmacy.

The college is affiliated to Dr. Harisingh Gour University with the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). This clearly ensures that the education imparted is to the national standards and imparts students with adequate preparation for successful industrial careers.

The eligibility criteria for D.Pharma and B.Pharma have laid down that the candidate should have completed their 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects. This, basically, helps in laying down a certain degree of foundation in science for the students who shall pursue further studies in pharmacy.

Application Process

Application processes are established in such a way that they are made simple and accessible to all eligible candidates for admission to Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy, Basti. 

1. Getting an application form: Interested candidates would actually get the application form from the college campus or may download it from the official website .

2. Filling out the application form: Candidates must fill out application forms very carefully with all details required, specifically with true personal and academic data.

3. Gathering documents: An applicant must make a collection of the necessary documents that usually consist of:

  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates

  • Passport-sized photographs

  • Proof of identity and address

  • Caste certificate (if applicable)

  • Any other relevant certificates or documents specified by the college

4. Submission of Application: After properly filling out, the application forms along with all necessary documents should be submitted to the college's Admission office; it may be done in person or through registered post.

5. Application Fee Payment: Application fee payment has to be made by the candidate. Amount and mode of payment will be mentioned by the institute.

Degree wise Admission Process

D.Pharma (Diploma in Pharmacy):
The D.Pharma is a two-year diploma course with a total intake of 60 seats in Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy. The student is allotted to this course based on the score obtainable by the student in the 10+2 examination with PCM/PCB subjects. The diploma course provides a good background in pharmaceutical sciences and prepares students for entry-level jobs in the area of pharmacy.

B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy):
The B.Pharma is a four-year undergraduate degree course with 60 approved seats available for admission. Admission to the program can be achieved through two methods:

  • Direct admission after completing 10+2 with PCM/PCB subjects.

  • Lateral entry for students who have completed Diploma in Pharmacy.

In B-PHARM, the students will get an extensive curriculum covering the different aspects of pharmaceutical sciences, and then preparing these students for a range of career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, research, and health care sectors.
