The rules related to college library can be seen on the notice board of the college. The library is open except Sunday and any holiday. Seating capacity of the reading room of the library : 100 The library has separate reference section/Journals section and reading room. Number of books in the library : 10,689 Total number of educational Journals Periodicals being subscribed : Journals – 16, Periodicals – 3 Number of encyclopedias available in the library : 28 Number of books available in the reference Section of the library : 468

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

UR College has a 100 bedded Hostel for students in the campus with comfortable well lit, well-ventilated rooms, furnished with tables, chairs, beds and wardrobes for all students. The facilities provided aim at development of a positive frame of mind along with quality education for the students. Students can entertain the visitors only during the visiting hours. The normal visiting hours are from 4.00p.m to 6.00p.m on working days and from 8.00a.m to 6.00p.m on Sundays and other holidays. Permission to go out of the Hostel will be given only once in a month on a holiday. They can leave the Hostel after 6.30 a.m and should return before 6.00 p.m No student will be allowed to go out based on a phone message. Phone calls from outsiders, other than parents of students, are strictly prohibited.

The Institute is hosting its own Website and has a well-equipped and well-furnished IT Centre with Broad Band Internet, Scanning, Printing and other computer-related facilities are functioning in the Institute. Separate arrangements are provided to Faculty Members, Staff, Scholars and Students. All the Professors, Heads and almost all Associate Professors are provided Computer and Broadband Internet facilities in their Chambers. This Centre has good fixtures & furniture which creates a calm atmosphere suiting to the scholars in their studies.

Sports play a vital role in molding students’ life. It shapes the students physically and mentally. As we all are aware that all work and no play make Jack a dull boy. A student excelling in sports will also shine in his academic career. He will be a brilliant outstanding student in his studies. While academic excellence has been the main goal of our educational efforts, for the last 54 years, the participation and performance in sports, cultural activities, extra-curricular activities, and military training, have also received due and minute attention of the authorities of the college.
