    The University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences was founded in the year 1994 under the premier constituent college of Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. It is approved by the PCI, hence assuring high quality of education in conformation to industrial standards. With a faculty strength of 21 dedicated professionals.

    Its college library, the main hub of learning, is centrally air-conditioned and contains volumes exceeding 600,000, which is much needed for students and researchers working on different assignments. Spacious reading halls, research carrels, and special collection sections in the library meet diverse study needs. It also has 17 hostels—8 for boys and 9 for girls—that accommodate nearly 6,700 students for the students requiring accommodation. Also available on the campus is a working women's hostel that accommodates 70 boarders.
