University Maharani College, Jaipur was established in the year 1944 at Madho Vilas under the patronage of Maharani Gayatri Devi and was called Intermediate College for Women. In 1947 the college was moved to its present premises and was rechristened as Maharani College. It became a constituent college of university in 1962. The college offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce streams. It also offers several innovative courses besides the regular Pass course and Honors courses in all the three faculties and the present strength of the college is more than 8000.
