12 MonthsGain in-depth knowledge of the concepts, methods and applications of modern microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics with a one-year master’s degree from an international university. The degree will prepare you for a career as an economist working in finance, consulting and policy or to continue research studies.
The programme equips you to understand the theoretical foundations of economic analysis, work with economic models and apply economic analysis to a range of policy areas. You will develop research skills and learn to use a variety of research methodologies to test and evaluate economic models.
You will look at economic theory and econometric methods across a range of topics and develop in-depth knowledge to carry out independent research. This will lead to a dissertation on a subject of your interest.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for the programme, you require an upper second-class degree, termed a 2:1 degree, or international equivalent in a relevant subject such as:
- economics
- mathematics
- engineering
- data science
- computer science
- physics
- a related subject with a high maths content
English language requirement
We accept several ways of meeting our English Language requirement. These include:
- IELTS Test, with scores of 6.5 overall (6.0 in reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
- an approved academic qualification having the required grade
