Vande Maatram College, situated in Gwalior is an institution that provides courses in the sectors of Education and Health Care. The merit admission procedure for the admissions reasonably follows the academic calendar of the university it is affiliated with and the policy of the State Government.  In the case of almost all programs, admission is on merit, depending on the performance in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Admission to such programs may also depend on any of the other processes or criteria as adopted by the State Government/UT administration and the concerned affiliated University. There are seven intake courses offered by the college, application procedure, and course-specific eligibility requirements.  Eligibility requirements vary with the program. Usually, candidates are expected to complete their 10+2 schooling from a recognized board for any undergraduate course. For any postgraduate program, the candidates will need to possess a related bachelor's degree. Few programs may have distinct academic requirements for eligibility criteria and in certain cases may restrict eligibility with respect to age.

Application Process

The admission proceedings at Vande Maatram College, Gwalior, usually involve the following steps :

1. Admission Announcement: The college announces on its official website and other media for admission process commencement.

2. Application Form: Candidates must subsequently collect and fill the application form. This may be available on the college website in an online version, or an offline version can be collected from the admission office of the college.

3. Document Submission: A properly filled application form, together with other relevant documents, is to be submitted by the applicants. They normally include:

• Passport size photographs
• Marksheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, or graduation as applicable)
• ID proof
• Category certificate (if applicable)
• Any other document as per instruction of the college or regulatory bodies

4. Entrance Examination: All candidates have to take the entrance examination for all courses that require such an examination on the scheduled date.

8. Enrollment: Candidates will be granted formal admission into the program of their choice at Vande Maatram College after successful completion of all the steps above.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed: Vande Maatram College for Bachelor of Education has an accepted intake of 100 seats. Selection is by merit from marks earned in the qualifying examinations and/or entrance examinations as the selection process is governed by norms laid down by the state government and the university concerned.

D.El.Ed: The Diploma in Elementary Education program with an intake of 100 seats is run along the same lines as for the B.Ed., that is, through merit on the basis of qualifying exam and/or entrance examination.

BA B.Ed Integrated: An integrated program with an intake of 25. Admissions into the program are on the basis of merit through qualifying exam marks and/or entrance exam scores set by the state government and its affiliated university.

GNM: General Nursing and Midwifery program offers 100 seats. Some unseen admission procedure has not been delineated, which is assumed to go by internal criteria.

B.Sc Nursing: The B.Sc Nursing program has only 40 seats allotted. The admission procedure is kept untold here, but it is assumed to be merit-based.

ANM: Admission in the Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery program is for a course of 30 seats. Admission criteria have not been particularized but are presumed to be based on merit.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: There are 20 seats sanctioned for this program. The admission process, although not described in detail, should also consider the previous qualifications and performance in nursing from the applicants.
