VG Shivrekar College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Solapur was instituted in 2005 and emerged as a guiding star of higher education in the State of Maharashtra. This affiliated college is situated at Jule Solapur-1, on Vijapur Road. The campus sprawls over 3.28 acres, and the institution is accredited by NAAC, reflecting its commitment towards quality education. VG Shivdare College has a total of four full-time courses: two at the undergraduate and two at the postgraduate level. At the undergraduate level, the courses extend to BA, B.Com, and B.Sc in Biotechnology, all three–year programmes. The college also offers a postgraduate two–year course for an M.Sc. in biotechnology to students who wish to specialise in the subject. The aggregate approved intake for all courses is 330 seats. This college received 673 enrolments this academic year alone for its various undergraduate programmes, proving its popularity among local students
