Vidyasagar Primary Teacher Training Institute admission to the B.Ed Programme is given based on merit obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination conducted for the purpose or other selection process as deemed fit by the policy of the state government/ UT administration/university standards. Eligibility to apply for the B.Ed programme involves completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university.

The Institute offers 50 seats for the Diploma in Elementary Education.
