Viva Institute of Management and Research, Virar was established in 2001 as an affiliated college. It is situated at Palghar, Maharashtra, and duly approved by All India Council of Technical Education. The institute is located on a 1-acre campus and currently has a total student enrolment of 133 with a faculty strength of 6. 

It has various facilities to help students in their academics and other activities. A well-stocked library provides students with abundant help needed in their studies. There are departmental laboratories to provide hands-on work experience, and an auditorium exists where events, seminars, etc., take place. There is a cafeteria within the campus to keep students out of inconvenience. The college also cares about health and hence has a health centre with first-aid facilities for students. It has supporting amenities such as a gym and sports facilities on campus for the physical fitness of the students. The institute also has very good relations with its alumni by way of its network of alumni associations.

Viva Institute of Management and Research offers only one full-time postgraduate programme, the Master of Management Studies. This two-year programme has an approved intake of 90 seats. This course will expose students to management principles and practices.
