Vivekanandha Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (VIETW), going operational from the academic year 2006-2007, is a women engineering college in the heart of Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu. This is an AICTE acknowledged as affiliated with Anna University and accredited by NAAC to demonstrate its concentration on quality education. Located on a colourful campus, VIETW has been providing 9 courses included in 4 degree programmes for exclusively female students. Vivekanandha Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women has a wide range of facilities that are aimed at helping to improve the general experience of the student. The institute offers 6 full-time programmes: 4 are undergraduate programmes and 2 are postgraduate programmes. For the undergraduate programmes, the university has BE Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and B. Tech in Information Technology. At the postgraduate level, the institute offers MCA and MBA courses. The MCA programme of this institute is economical as compared to other institutes. Total approved intake of the courses for all the professional programmes is 420 seats for the institution, and VIETW provides a highly professional interactive student-teacher faculty ratio for the successful development of the students.

The admission policy of VIETW is fully open to accommodate the good students who wish to study engineering. For undergraduate programme, CEETA is mostly used in determining who should be admitted into the programme. Admissions to MCA and MBA programmes offered in the institution accept students who have sat for TANCET. Other entrance tests that are considered are other related tests and this makes it possible for other aspiring students to join the VIETW family.
