Vivekanandha Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (VIETW) Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu, is an excellent institute that imparts quality engineering education for women. Established in 2006, it is an affiliate of Anna University and has accreditation from NAAC, which itself bears testimony to its pursuit of excellence. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in engineering and technology. The admission procedure of the institute, VIETW, aims at screening the deserving female candidates for the engineering and technology professions. Admission for undergraduate courses shall be relying on the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA) scores. The TANCET scores will be taken into consideration for the admission in postgraduate courses that are the MCA and MBA.
The commencement of the academic year at VIETW usually is around August-September, after the admission process commences a few months earlier. The eligibility criteria vary from program to program. Students must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects for undergraduate engineering programs. Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Tech/BE: There are four undergraduate engineering programs through which VIETW admits students: B.E. Computer Science and Engineering, B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and B.Tech Information Technology. Admission to these programs is based on CEETA scores. Each program has 60 seats, except Electronics and Communication Engineering which has 120 seats. The total fee for these programs is Rs. 160,000.
MCA: VIETW offers 60 seats for the Master of Computer Applications. Admission is based on the TANCET. The total fee for the MCA is Rs. 90,000.
MBA: VIETW offers an MBA program with 60 seats. Entry to this program is also based on the TANCET. The total fee for the MBA is Rs. 60,000.
ME: The institute offers three ME (Master of Engineering) programs: ME Computer Science and Engineering, ME Embedded System Technologies, and ME Power Electronics and Drives. The admission procedure for all these programs is through CEETA-PG, and each program has 18 seats.
