With a vision to promote and provide professionalism in the field of media, Xavier Institute of Communications Mumbai (XIC) was established in the year of 1969 by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India. Xavier Institute of Communications is an autonomous mass communication college and a professional media centre that offers a variety of services in training and production in the field of media.
It is an autonomous college of the University of Mumbai Mumbai. Xavier Institute of Communications provides postgraduate diplomas in five specialisations. The courses are Advertising and Marketing Communication, Event Planning and Experiential Marketing, Film Television and Digital Video Production, Journalism and Mass Communication, and Public Relations and Corporate Communication programmes. The admissions are done on a merit basis after the completion of the XIC entrance test (XET).

Cons - Most of the lectures are on the third floor. There is no lift. - The building is really small. So the classes keep shuffling from here to there. - The ACs are too cold and you're not allowed to turn it down. - The canteen food is overpriced and tasteless. - The main college is a bit antagonistic, that can create problems. Pros - The technological facilities are very good and up to date. - Everything is clean
