Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy, in the town of Sawantwadi, Maharashtra, established in 2015, is an esteemed pharmacy college with a rich pharmaceutical education heritage. It is one of the first colleges in Maharashtra. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) for securing high standards of education. The college is spread across a wide campus of 16 acres. At present, there is a total enrolment of 454 students and a faculty strength of 29. The institute offers three courses in pharmacy at undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels, thereby indicating the commitment towards pharmaceutical education.
The infrastructure of Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy is impressive and has been designed to improve the learning experience of its students. The advanced instruments in the modern laboratories make sure hands-on experience of modern pharmaceutical techniques among the students. Along with academic pursuits, the institute takes care of the health of its students through separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, which are well-equipped with amenities such as Wi-Fi, solar water heaters, and RO water systems. There is a spacious cafeteria, sports facilities including a football field and volleyball court, and a well-equipped gym that balances out the campus life.
Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy, an affiliated college of University of Mumbai, offers a total of three full-time courses in the field of pharmaceutical education, catering to different levels. They have courses at the level of Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) level, and Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics (M.Pharma Pharmaceutics).
