For getting a seat in AIIMS Bhubaneswar your percentile should be at least greater than 99.8. Your rank might not be enough to get you into AIIMS Bhubaneswar as I am assuming that you are a general category student.

However some of the colleges where you can expect a seat are:
  • Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences, Hassan
  • Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences, Raichur
  • Lt. L A M Govt. Medical College, Raigarh
  • Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences, Bidar
  • Government Medical College, Rajnandgaon
  • Lt. B R K Government Medical College, Jagdalpur

Hello Preeti,

You see for the year 2020 the NEET-UG closing rank at AIIMS Delhi was 21 5 for EWS Category for MBBS.

For 2019 the closing rank was around 8116. So based on these trends your chances for getting an MBBS seat at AIIMS Delhi will be quite high if you obtain a rank under 50.

Dear Sankalp,

Academics wise, in most of the colleges is almost same and you have to study on your own but the colleges you have listed above have the best faculties.

VMMC - You will get delhi quota for pg. Safdarjung hospital has the largest opd so you will get excellent clinical exposure, helpful seniors, good alumni connections, good pg:ug seat ratio(sort of internal pg quota), campus is not very big but college life is amazing. No service bond after MBBS.

KGMU - It caters large number of patients so good clinical exposure. It has a golden era of its own with great alumni. Two  Years of rural service bond.

AIIMS Bhopal -  You will get aiims tag in the first two, three of them are central universities with internal pg quota. I have ranked them according to my priority. You will also get good amount of research opportunities.

IMS - It is an Excellent institute but with a very disciplined life. Choose only if u want it, but it will be a good experience on its own.

Overall, Aiims bhopal is best. Initially BHU was better one as it was giving preference for internal students. But now, there is no such type of internal preferences. So now AIIMS will a better choice plus the brand tag of aiims also works everywhere . Facilities like mess, hostel etc. are gone quite old at BHU.

Hope this helps.

All the Best!!

Hey,

It is difficult to judge the newly opened colleges because of obvious reasons.

The top three government medical colleges providing undergraduate courses in 2021 are -

  • All India Institute of Medical Sciences
  • Christian Medical College
  • Banaras Hindu University

According to your profile, you are from West Bengal. The top three government medical colleges in West Bengal are -

  • Medical College Kolkata
  • IPGMER and SSKM
  • NRS Medical College

AIIMS Bhopal, though newer Medical College, but being from the AIIMS Pedigree must definitely be your first preference, unless youre from Rajasthan and maybe would like to study nearby or at vicinity of your Hometown. In that case SMS Jaipur maybe the better preference. Both the Medical Colleges, have excellent faculty, infrastructure and hospital facilities. Secondly, nowadays in AIIMS, after MBBS, Doctors are directly recruited by the particular AIIMS Institute as Professionals, which might be an advantage, unlike many other Colleges where there are specific seats on Merit for Residentship. Another Good Option in your case maybe AIIMS Jodhpur, which too is good and located in Rajasthan.

Hello,

As per the current status quo,  the main criteria is either you should have the domicile certificate or you have done MBBS from the state. Though some state government sought to change this rule in favour of state domicile only but nothing proper had decided yet due to some course cases and some being even judgment against the case.  So far now,  it seems you are eligible for the same.

Good luck!

Thank you!

Hello Buddy! Hope you're doing good.

After you get a seat through NEET PG and has started college then after a month or more if you get a seat in AIIMS then can leave the previous college which you take through NEET PG. Some amount will deduct from your fees and you will get a return of the remaining amount on your bank account. How much amount will be deducted totally depends upon the college, there terms and conditions. Hope this will help you.
