Hi

Though AIIMS MBBS entrance examination has been scrapped off and now admission is  through Neet examination but percentage requirement in 12th to be eligible for admission in mbbs in Aiims  is still the same as it was before scrapping of its entrance . The page number 11 of mcc counselling scheme pdf clearly mentions that it has its own eligiblity criteria, the link to download it is provided below

https://mcc.nic.in/UGCounselling/Documents/UGSchemeFinal.pdf

Which category do you belong to?

Aiims eligibility criteria is given below:-

to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology and English and must have got:-

  • at least 60  % in aggregate of PCB and English in 12th examination  if belongs to general /obc category

  • at least  50%  in aggregate of PCB and English if belongs to st/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB and English in case of general pwd candidates to be eligible.

So, with 53 % in PCBE you are not eligible for AIIMS if you are from general or obc, but if you are from sc /st / ph then you are eligible

Also,

* to be eligible for Aiims 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old  by 31st December 2021

You can check the same by downloading the official brochure of AIIMS Delhi for which link is provided below

https://www.aiimsexams.org/pdf/MBBS-2020%20update%20%7BProspectus).pdf

Another important thing to note is while AIIMS considers aggregate in PCBE i. e physics chemistry biology and English Neet considers only PCB aggregate.

As admission in aiims is thorough neet , so you need to appear in neet and thus you need to be eligible for it as well. To be eligible for neet 2021 one must be either appearing for  12th board examination 2021 or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology /biotechnology in 12th examination  if belongs to general category , or   at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category. Hello,

Good to see your passion and dedication towards your studies. I Hope you achieve what you wish for.

Coming to the point, studying for such immense hours is not suggested. As you said you can do smart studies but make sure to maintain your timetable and schedule well. You also need to balance other things like spending time for yourself and the things you like doing (can be your hobbies) in order to make yourself relieved and stress free. You can study for just few hours and get in AIIMS if you understand your topics well. So just take some time off to refresh your brain, study for the limited time (not for so many hours like 12, 13) and have a good sleep. It is important to have a good sleep as these things will effect your preparation and understanding capacity.

All the best! Happy studying.

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you, the correct cutoff can't be predicted it totally depends upon the level of examination if exam is hard then cutoff goes down gradually and if exam is easy then cutoff increases gradually. You should certainly focus on achieving high and high marks in the entrance examination.

Hope you found this answer useful.Stay motivated stay positive.

All the best!

Yes, 12th marks are important but only for being eligible for AIIMS while admission is completely on the basis of rank in NEET

What is your marks in English?

This is important because

AIIMS considers aggregate in PCBE i. e physics chemistry biology and English Neet considers only PCB aggregate.

Aiims eligibility criteria is given below:-

to be eligible you need to pass 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology and English and must have got:-

So, if you meet this percentage requirement as per your category then you are eligible for admission in Aiims otherwise you are not eligible

Hi Aspirant,

No, NEET is not required for admission into a BSc Nursing programme.

Each year, a separate entrance exam is offered for admission to AIIMS BSc Nursing programme. AIIMS Delhi conducts the exam, which is used to get admission to the BSc (Hons) Nursing and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing programmes.

I hope you find this information helpful.

All the best.

Hello Meera,

First of all don't be too stressed out as it is never late to accomplish anything if you are dedicated enough. It is okay if you haven't prepared well in your 11th. You still got enough time to prepare. As of now don't waste your 12th and concentrate more in this year so that you can get more time to revise 11th after this. Instead of feeling like you've wasted a year just utilize this 12th and later coverup the 11th. You can definitely do it dear. All the best.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

Dear Student,

See, it doesn't matter how many hours you study in a day, but what matters is how you study well in a day. You need not to count the hours of your study, but to make that hours work good for you.

Tips that can help :-

  • Try to be more productive and manage your time effectively.
  • Maintain a time table and follow it thoroughly.
  • Many people learn and understand everything but they forgot to revise things, which results in them forgetting what they learned the previous week. Make a habit of revising on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Make flowcharts and mind-maps which will make you gasp things very fast.
  • Make your own notes.
  • Practice more and more past year paper questions.
  • Track your schedule and syllabus.

Happy Learning!

Hii aspirant

You had asked about AIIMS in Odisha so you must be willing to know about AIIMS bhubhneswar which is only aiims located in Odisha. You must be aware that AIIMS admission doesn't take place through the state quota. AIIMS counselling happens through AIQ counseling so to get AIIMS bhubhneswar you will have to participate in AIQ counseling. As Last year cut off for aiims bhubhneswar in SC category was AIR 12362 in AIQ counselling 2020.

Overall aiims (other aiims) cut off ranks in AIQ counseling 2020 upto second round was

Gen- 7575

Obc- 8384

Sc- 47814

St-66560

So if you want to get admitted in AIIMS bhubhneswar then try to score more than 620-630 marks in upcoming neet.

You can check best college through college predictor on basis of marks you are expecting. It is very helpful, click on link below
