Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics is a four year full time post graduate course offered by Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani Students will be able to finish the integrated first degree in 4 years (8 semesters). The institute offers dual degree facilities to several students who are admitted. Students who take two degrees simultaneously under a dual degree scheme will spend about 5 to 5½ years (10 to 11 semesters).

Eligibility Criteria

➢ Candidates must have completed their 12th-grade examination under the 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or an equivalent qualification.

➢ A minimum of five subjects is required, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, one Language, and any additional subject beyond these four.

➢ Candidates must secure:

An aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and
At least 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics individually.

➢ Both theory and practical components must be considered while calculating percentages.

Students entering through the PCB stream at the 10+2 level should possess mathematics proficiency at the high school (Class 10) level.

Admission Details

Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in 12th examination,

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is really excellent. The newly renovated campus look brand new . We do have many sports facilities and grounds for sports. We do have a library with 18 lakhs plus books and we are also given high speed internet 24/7 .And our canteen food is really excellent.

Its a well known fact that bits pilani is very old campus.And many of you maybe thinking the the college infrastructure is very old.Then you are wrong.The fact that bits is a very old campus is true but the whole campus is being renovated.And the present campus is really good.
