Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune has a Career Guidance and Placement Team (CGPT) that works with recruiters and students to ensure that the placement drive is conducted smoothly. Various companies or organisations receive an invitation along with essential information to participate in the DPU Pune placement procedure. A pre-placement talk (PPT) is organised on the preferred dates, after which the recruiting companies administer tests or conduct interviews as needed, selecting candidates based on their corporate needs. DPU Pune placement procedure includes an invitation to the recruiters, acceptance of the invitation by the recruiters for conducting placement, fixing placement schedule, registration, shortlisting of candidates, pre-placement talk, screening tests, group discussion, interview and a job offer to the selected students. Invitation
Firstly, the DPU placement cell coordinates with recruiting companies and mails an invitation to former and potential recruiters for the DPU Pune placement drive, along with an annexure and other documents such as a brochure.
Acceptance of invitation by the recruiters for conducting placement
When a company decides to conduct campus placement at DPU Pune, it fills out all of the required information in the annexure and sends it back to the institute via email. Further, the company confirms their presence for conducting the placement drive and gives a briefing about the company profile, job profile and other details about the campus recruitment drive.
Fixing a placement schedule and slot allocation for placement
After mutual agreement, the DPU placement cell sets dates with various recruiters and creates a placement schedule, which is shared with students. After fixing dates with recruiters, slots are assigned to recruiting companies to visit the campus and conduct the placement drive at Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune.
Registration for the placement process
Candidates must first meet the recruiting companies' eligibility criteria. Eligible candidates for the DPU placement drive are encouraged to register for participation in the recruitment drive and must provide all needed documents like a CV.
Shortlisting of registered candidates
Following registration, the registered candidates' CVs are shortlisted and only those who have been shortlisted are eligible to participate in the DPU Pune placement process.

Various screening tests conducted by recruiters

Group discussion
Students who pass the screening test will be invited to participate in a group discussion on any topic, such as social, political, or business-related topics. The candidates who voice their opinions and present their ideas in front of the interviewers will be chosen in this round of placement.
Interview
The final level of qualification is the personal interview, in which candidates have to qualify for the interview conducted by the company. They have to appear for interviews such as technical interviews and HR interviews, which are conducted by various recruiting companies to assess students' technical knowledge, communication skills, and confidence in order to ensure that the right candidate is selected for the job.
Making the job offer to the selected students
Candidates that pass all of the tests and interviews are done by the recruiters are offered jobs based on their performance in the DPU Pune placement drive.
