Hello student,

You can enter IISER through multiple streams

1. Through boards, students who cleared 12th with science stream are eligible to apply. They need to attend a test called IISER aptitude test. Based on the score in the test and the cut off, the branch and the place will be allocated to the student.

2. Through je advanced. General category candidates with rank below 10k are eligible to apply. Cut off criteria for the Mark's secured in 12th is also applicable

Hello,

IISER Aptitude Test has four sections :
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
Competition is very high and you can't get a good rank in this exam by skipping biology because its  apart if the test and if you will skip the section then it will reflect on your overall marks so better prepare for it.Just study NCERT of class 11th and 12th of Biology.

I hope this helps

Hello,

First of all you may not fulfill the education qualification criteria. To appear in JEE advanced 2020 a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent in 2018, 2019 or 2020 are eligible.

Suppose that you wish to appear in 2021 you must have completed your class 12 in 2019, 2020 or 2021 but you have passed class 12 earlier than 2019 so you will not be eligible to appear in JEE adavanced which makes you ineligible to get admission in IIST or IISER.

Hello aspirant

IISER Mohali and IISc Bangalore does not offer btech in nanotechnology, so you cannot apply for the same. Some Colleges which do offer btech in nanotechnology are as follows:-

  • SRM institute of science and technology
  • School of engineering and technology, jain university
  • Amity school of engineering
  • Chandigarh university
  • NIMS university, Jaipur
  • Bharath institute of higher education and research, Chennai
  • Bhagwant university

Hope this helps

There are various levels at which you can join ISRO and at various designations.
After 12th: You can get into IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) for their Undergraduate programmes. The admission is based on JEE Advanced scores. Which means you need to have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2. You can pick any of their 4 year Bachelor programmes like B.Tech in Physical Sciences, B.Tech in Avionics and B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, etc. Or you can also pick up their 5 year Integrated courses in Master of Science in Astronomy and AstroPhysics, Master of Technology in Earth System Science, Master of Science in Solid State Physics and Master of Science in Optical Engineering, etc.

Opportunities are amazing for academically brilliant candidates. With a CGPA of 7.5 or higher, subject to the availability of vacancies, you get placed in ISRO. Aero and Avio graduates have better prospects even outside ISRO.

After B.Tech: IIST also offers Postgraduate Programmes like:
M.Tech in Soft Computing & Machine Learning
M.Tech in RF & Microwave Engineering
M.Tech in Geo informatics
M.Tech in Optical Engineering
M.Tech in Machine Learning & Computing
M.Tech in Solid State Technology
M.Tech in VLSI & Microsystems
M.Tech in Materials Science & Technology, etc.
Opportunities depend upon ISRO Placements conducted by centralised recruitment committee. Having saod all these, if you want to join ISRO after studying at IISER, it mainly depends on the course you have taken and the opportunities at that point in time. There will be suitable opportunities for Physics stream like Technician, etc.

Hello.
With 80% in your HSC board exam you are eligible for both IISER and savitribai phule University but for getting into these both you will have to pass the entrance exam, for savitribai phule University there is university level entrance exam for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses while IISER, admission is done on the basis of KVPY or JEE advanced or their own SCB channel.
Best of luck.

Hello Aspirant,

I'll recommend you to go for IISER over Jadhavpur university. Moreover i'll recommend you to join IISER Kolkata as It is the best in physics among all IISERs. Also The faculty at IISER Kolkata  is excellent and almost all branches of physics are covered there. So without thinking much you must definitely go for IISER .

All the best

Hello! Hope you are doing good

In order to get admitted in IISER in 2020, the eligibility states clearly that I0+2 or equivalent board exam must have been passed in the year 2019 or 2020. With this it is clear that, you should either get admitted in the same year of qualifying class 12th or the year after. You get one drop year.

Hope it helps. All the best

Hello! Hope you are doing good

IISER doesnt release any marks, there is absolutely no disclosure of marks and thus there are no cutoffs. You just know whether you're in or not. But according to the previous years feedback by the students, for general category atleast 90/180 was a necessity to get into any IISER. For SC category, its somewhere around 70/180.

All the best
