48 MonthsBachelor of Technology in Materials Engineering is four years (8 Semester) full-time undergraduate Engineering program offered by the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar. The curriculum of MSE is designed to provide our students with the foundation to thrive in the broad and rapidly changing field of materials science and engineering. Our MSE curriculum is designed to reflect the entire life cycle of a material which includes (a) synthesis/extraction (b) fabrication (c) degradation and (d) Disposal/recycling of materials.
Eligibility Criteria
Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
Admission Details
The admission to the course is through the IIT Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

IIT Gandhinagar is an emerging technical institute with excellent technical and research facilities that help students gain experience in various fields like computer science, electrical, mechanical, and materials. The library and sports complex are also organized.
