Academics solid, PhD faculty teach catalysis, processes. Coursework first, then thesis, seminars on real issues. Strict reviews but flexible, funding for papers. Guides help if you push.
Not easy, but publish in top journals. Better than many for innovation.
College Infra
IIT Gandhinagar infrastructure great for PhD Chem Engg. Labs got modern tools like reactors for catalysis work. Library big, journals plenty, WiFi fast.
Hostels AC, mess food healthy. Sports ground, pool nice. Summer hot, no extra AC. Supports research good.
Campus Life
Campus life calm, green 400 acres, fests like Blithchron fun. Chem clubs, seminars engaging. Diverse crowd, friends easy. Sports, gym, pool active, canteen cheap. Ahmedabad near for breaks. Heat tough, not party heavy but balanced. Loved research vibe.
Placements
PhD placements lean research, not mass jobs. Many get faculty posts in NITs, IITs, or postdocs abroad, stipend 50k plus.
R&D in Reliance if networked. No big drives, depends on papers. Average 8-12 LPA academia. Good for passion, not quick money.
Value For Money
Fees 1.3 lakh total, stipend 37k-47k monthly if GATE. Covers labs, conference travel.

B.Tech Materials Engineering - Batch of 2020-01-01
Academics
Most faculty members are from abroad and have good international collaborations that help students connect with them for internships, higher studies, and conferences. The academic section has a well-organized classroom, library, auditorium, and discussion areas.
College Infra
IIT Gandhinagar is an emerging technical institute with excellent technical and research facilities that help students gain experience in various fields like computer science, electrical, mechanical, and materials. The library and sports complex are also organized.
Campus Life
Hostel life at IIT Gandhinagar was very good. I still remember sitting at PANCHAYAT CIRCLE (PC) and doing various activities. Various culture and technical events have also happened
Placements
Placement in IIT Gandhinagar is average as compared to old IITs like IIT Dehli, Bomay or IIT Kanpur. At my graduation time, the average package was 7-8 lack, and the maximum was around 35lack in our batch of 180 students. There are lot of job placements in non-core sector as compared to core companies

Academics
I choose to study materials engineering at IITGN due to my fascination with materials properties and applications. The quality of teaching is much as good as other aII. All the faculty members are knowledgeable and easily approachable, and in the evening, we placed support together. The academic curriculum has been updated regularly to date. I liked The foundation program in my first year. The courses are very help in competing in job placements and GATE or other relevant exams
College Infra
IIT Gandhinagar features outstanding infrastructure that enhances the learning experience. The classrooms are equipped with model teaching aids, and our laboratories are stocked with advanced equipment, allowing for hands-on experiences. The extensive library provides access to various academic resources and study space. The campus has excellent sports facilities, including an Olympic-sized swimming pool and one INTER IIT sports tournament in 2023. hygienic food is available in mess which serve unlimited meals the root the day
Campus Life
Campus life at IITGN, i say it was the best, with all the freedom, friends, and engaging and supporting campus life, I had a lot of friends and had lot of memories, lot cultural and technical festivals still remember
Placements
The IITGN location is not the best, but it is good enough compared to all new IITs. Almost all the students in our batch placed well, although the package was not that high. The maximum package was around 34 lacks and average around 7 Lacks, I chose the hgiehr study instead of placement
Value For Money
studying at IITGN is of course value for money, you can access all the infrastructure, library, large group of alumni, and faculty, and working with ba rilliant mind is valued for money

sir, mera iit bombay mein prepatory electricals mein selection ho gaya hai, mujhe prepatory course kaha se karna hoga, iit bombay ya iit gandhinagar
