The college campus is quite good, it has all the basic facilities and the campus infrastructure and furnitures, the library is quite big with all the course books and additional fiction books. Also we have full facility of WIFI all over the campus.
I am pursuing engineering my master's in Chemical engineering branch. The classes are conducted online in Google meet and all the notes are uploaded in the Google classroom. The is course is updated regularly.
The placement senerio of the college is quite good.Everyone gets placed here The average package is around 17 lakhs but it varies each year.Highest package secured byone ofmy senior from our branch was 65 lakhs.
Yes
Best experience of college.
It is under best IITs of the country.
The campus is well equipped with all the facilities like Wifi and the classrooms have smartboards for daily lectures.Thw laboratory has all the necessary equipments and we have a well structured library along with furnitures and chairs for sitting in the library.
I am studying chemical engineering. The classes are held regularly except for holidays, the classes are conducted on a platform like Google meet or zoom. The curriculum and syllabus is quite reach and updated on a regular basis.I truly believe that the portion is enough to make me a good engineer.
The placement scenerio is very good.Nearly everyone who wants to get placement are geting a good package salary and many students get pre-placement offers in their third year only. Average package is around 17 lakhs and every year it varies.
Though the fees of IITs are high but compared to the level of education facilities and exposure it is quite satisfing. The college fees is worth it and values every penny you pay to them.
You will love the campus and hostel.
Life in IITs are amazing.
The college is wonderful. The campus and the infrastructure is very good. The facilities provided by the campus are very good and the teachers here are very helpful. The living spaces are very clean and the food is hygienic.
I am studying b.tech and currently I am in second gear. The curriculum is updated and it includes all the recent developments in the field. The quality of teaching here is excellent and it makes us job ready.
The quality of placements in my college is very good and students of all branches gets placed here very easily. All the companies prefer to visit here and take some brilliant minds from this college te average salary offered is around 10 lacs.
The course fee is not very high. The facilities provided are very rich and the hostel life is great here. I think I am getting my money's full worth here and actually I am enjoying my life here in this College.
The campus life is outstanding. The college is spread in a large area and we have access to all the sports available in the college. The college conducts many cultural and technical events very year which is fun .
Campus is newly built and further additional construction is going on. Classrooms are good however first year classes are held in halls. Food is good, however you become habitual to it and wont be eating that much at the mess. There are additional shops and a canteen for food. Whole campus has wifi facility, library has vast amount of resources.
I am currently a first year btech student. I am pursuing Civil engineering. Quality of teaching is good but some of the teachers are really not upto the mark. However enough resources are available on the google drive and in the library for studies.
Placements are average. There were few good packages before the year but overall placement quality is average. Iit Gandhinagar is more of a reasearch biased institute than a placement biased institute.
Since, Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar is one amongst the newly built IITs, it has great infrastructure and all the facilities and equipments. It is the only IIT other than IIT Jodhpur which has AC hostels. All the classrooms, hostel areas have Air conditioning facilities. The classrooms have smart boards and projectors. The hostel area is very clean. And till now IITGN is the only Institute in the country which has been awarded EAT RIGHT award for its 5 star rating of mess food.
I am pursuing my B TECH in Civil engineering at IIT GANDHINAGAR. The quality of teaching at IITGN is better than most of the engineering colleges in India. The curriculum is well updated and there is a provision of short courses which are based on recent developments in the field. We are taught all the topics that are necessary to make us job ready.
The placement are only one such thing in which IITGN is lagging behind other IITs. The highest package of last year was around 31 lpa. And the lowest package was 8.3 lpa. The average package is slightly lower at 13-14 lpa.
I'm surely getting the value for my money. The food quality is excellent, the hostel area is clean and the institute provides us high speed internet. We also have sports grounds for various sports like Basketball, Football and Volleyball etc.
The best part of my life till now is the campus life. The best and unique feature of IITGN is that you can book a whole classroom by your I-card. You can issue many sports equipments too by filling the entry in the register and submitting your I card there to the guard. The seniors are also very supportive and there is no case of ragging in our campus. Then, all the rooms have Air conditioning facilities, so you never feel hot even in the month of June.
It is the best campus. All the seniors are very supportive. There are many more facilities in academics other than teachers, for example Academic Discussion Hours (ADH) in nights in which senior students clear the doubts of the freshmen and sophomores. Then, the food quality is excellent and we get special food once in a month. Though Girls and boys have separate hostels, but boys can go in girls hostel and vice-versa.
Yes the college has all nexessary infrastructure facilities and equipment. The facilities in my classroom, laboratories, libraries, sports centres and hostels . They are well maintained. Living spaces are clean and hygienic. Food is clean and hygienic
I'm studying mech engineering because of my rank. Equality of teaching is average. The curriculum is updated and includes all recent developments in the field. Yes it does make me job ready. And It's good enough.
Not good enough. Not much focused on placement. Dont have much data about salaries jobs packages etc etc but as far as I know the placement is not what our college focuses on. It's main focus is foreign universities.
Average for most part
Meh, not good
Amazing yet challenging
Our college has been awarded with the prize for the best mess facility among all the 23 IITs. The infrastructure is up to the mark. The reason being recent construction techniques being used. The hostels have refrigerator, water cooler, induction in each of its floor. The permanent sports complex will be finished by the end of this year. Libraries are well equiped with research papers, thesis and college ses to it that content from other colleges are available either in soft or the hard form.
I am interested in Civil Engineering therefore pursuing it. Well you can't get every professor as the ideal one but the quality of teaching can be judged by the fact that almost 2/3 of faculty has PhDs from overseas institutions. The flexible curriculum is by far the best feature in case of academics. The student is free to choose whichever course he would like to enroll in(leaving some compulsory subjects). Every semester also includee HSS course(economics, french, philosophy etc).
Being a research oriented institute, the placements stats can be considered good. The highest for the previous batch being 40+ lakhs(EE). The placement percentage is around 60-70%. The stats are bound to go high owing to the fact that first batch of CS branch will graduate his year. As CS branch flourishes, the number of companies and highest package will increase exponentially. Median salary for the year 2014-15 is 6,63,000. Average salary is around 10-12 lakhs.
The fees are somewhat high compared to other IITs. The cost is around 1,40,000 per semester. This includes mess as well as laundry facilities.
By far the best campus life I have heard of. There are minimum restrictions. The gates are open 24/7. Boys and girls hostels are in close vicinity <200m and it is allowed to move to each others hostels(apply for girls hostel as well). The staff are supportive. Most of them have good contacts with the foreign universities as well as market. The location is at the outskirts of the city but there are bus facilities to main market every hour.
1. Explorer Fellowship- 42 days travelling experience given to student during summer break. 2 . Invent- Another 6 week program during summer break which includes students teaming to develop invention of societal need. 3 . Amalthea - Technical Summit. 4. Blithchron - Cultural Fest
The infrastructure is good. The campus is big enough for the number of students it hosts. There are ample amount of classes. There are two libraries—one in the acad area and the other in the hostel area.
The courses do not involve many hands-on. You need to work a lot on your own to be able to compete in the real world. To get all the skills that the everyday world requires, we need to go for online courses sometimes.
Very few companies come. It is more of a research-oriented institute. So it is better for those who want to go for higher studies. Sometimes the companies may be good; sometimes, they go back without hiring any of the students.
Government college. Not more nor less.
Awesome camous life. Canteens and different places to hang out. Diferent events.
See, preparatory courses are offered to those student who the IITs think that if we invest an year on these students, then these students may perform very well if they are admitted in the normal B.Tech programmes offered by the various IITs. So, if you have been selected by IIT Bombay in the preparatory course, then you'll have to do your course from IIT Bombay itself, and not IIT Gandhinagar.
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
The sports facilities in IIT Gandhinagar is commendable. They have we'll maintained football court, outdoor basketball, cricket field with nets for practice, indoor table tennis courts. Swimming pool facilities, fully air-conditioned gyms are also available. There is also a swimming pool and training is given by qualified instructors.
Hope this helps
