Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering is a four-year (8 semesters) full-time undergraduate program offered at the Indian Institute of Technology Indian School of Mines Dhanbad.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is quite good and meets most of the basic requirements. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart boards and proper seating arrangements. Laboratories have necessary equipment, although some need upgrades. The library is well-stocked with academic resources and provides a peaceful study environment. WiFi is available across the campus but can be slow at times. Sports facilities and common areas are decent and maintained regularly. Overall, the campus is clean, but improvements in maintenance and modern equipment would make it better.
