72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by Indian Institute of Technology Indian School of Mines Dhanbad. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.

Admission Details
A candidate can get qualified for the interview through any of the following modes
- Valid GATE score,
- Valid NET rank
- Qualify in IIT(ISM) JRF Entrance Examination (JRFEE)
- B.Tech from IITs in respective discipline with OGPA/CGPA 8.5 and above.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure at this IIT is exceptional, boasting a sprawling 1200-acre campus. Each department has its own dedicated building, all of which are impressive in their own right. The hostel provides top-notch facilities, and the variety of food available in the mess and canteen is excellent.
Definitely go for this college without thinking twice

College Infrastructure
The facilities and infrastructure are excellent. Labs are properly equipped and are assisted by well-qualified teaching assistants, and also neatly arranged and maintained. Wi-Fi is good. Classrooms are large enough to accommodate around 150 people for now, but still, a new building construction is happening which can accommodate more people. Coming to the library, we have the Central Library which is Asia's second-largest technical library. It has 7 floors, one complete floor is dedicated to the reading hall. Almost every preferred book can be found there along with magazines and newspapers. Moreover, the library is properly maintained with high security.
