Established in 1920, Jamia Millia Islamia is a coeducational central government university. The Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP) Yojana offers students at JMI access to a number of scholarships, including the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for College and University Students and the Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.

College Infrastructure
Jamia Millia Islamia has a high level of development in its infrastructure which is also conducive to the student body. There is an abundance of green space on the campus providing a serene environment in which to study. While the classrooms meet basic standards, the central library is very prominent and provides access to a vast number of different types of materials to support academia.

At Jamia Millia Islamia, I find the campus green, spacious, and peaceful, which creates a good environment to study. The classrooms, library, and basic facilities are decent, though some areas still need better maintenance and modernization.
