Actually they will never ask you direct questions related to current affairs and static general knowledge but they ask to questions related to history and from History topics that are currently in news.

Example- Any current news related to a famous temple, any news related to archaeologists, etc.

So, for now focus on the syllabus of JNUEE MA History and give just 20 to 30 minutes to read latest news related to history.

You will find that syllabus is not detailed one and there are only sub-topics given.

So, for detailed syllabus you can refer Delhi University BA hons. English syllabus.

Please follow BA hons. English Syllabus of Delhi University and also the recommended books.

Peter Barry's beginning theory , History of English literature by David Daiches, Indian Literature are some really important and helpful books for JNU Entrance.

Apart from that you can solve any entrance exam guide for MA English and you can also solve NET JRF papers.

Please solve previous year's  MA English entrance papers of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Jamia Milia Islamia University.
