Hello dear,

10+2 or appearing with a minimum of 45% is mandatory for a bachelor in foreign languages.

Regardless of your language choice, JNU conducts a common entrance exam for all candidates.

The questions will be in English, and it is a Computer-based test (CBT).

The syllabus comprises general knowledge, artificial language, general English, and language aptitude.


Thus,you must focus on the above mentioned subjects in order to clear the entrance exam.

JNU does not declared the examination date still now. The date for examination will be declared soon. The date for correction of application form is July 6 to July 15, 2020. And the releasing date for admit card is to be declared soon. So please wait for that ,when situation will be in under control then the date will be finalized.

Syllabus is as follow,

1. Biochemistry, molecular biology, and immunology of post graduate level

2. Physics/chemistry (ug level)

3. Maths and computer science (10+2 level)

Word Power Made Easy (by Norman Lewis)
This is the go-to book to improve your vocabulary. It is not a book to be read but a book to work with daily to enrich your vocabulary.

High School Grammar and Composition( by Wren and Martin)
It is a very good book for people who want to improve their grammar skills. It helps to understand and conceptualise different aspects of grammar and it is a must have book for anyone with poor grasp on verbal ability or who wants to make up with the basics of english.

And section 2 has descriptive type questions for 50 marks.

for academic, fee structure for BA is Rs. 1,362 per year. for 3 years, it will be 3,892. if you apply for hostel then it will charge for 2000 per semester. for 3 years, it will be 12k. if you have reservation then there might be some relaxation in your fees.

You can also apply for scholarship which is given by the institute.

Here are the steps to fill JNU application form:-
In order to apply, candidates need to first visit the official website of Jaipur National University

Click on the 'Admission' tab and choose option Online Application form

Then click on 'Register' tp register for the program by providing all your personal details such as Name, Email id, Mobile Number and Password

Then log in by using your email Id and password

Fill the application form for the appropriate program by providing all education qualification and personal details such as date of Birth, class 10th & 12th certificate, graduation marks etc.

Then select the document you plan to attach in your application form

After completing the application form submit it along with the registration fee (Rs 1100/-)
