72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time three/six-year Doctoral program and it is offered by the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidates shall be considered for admission to the Ph. D. Programme who have —
- Obtained 2 years M.Phil. degree with at least 55% marks of a recognized University/Institution (with dissertation/seminar/Viva) is essential or one-year M.Phil. with 55% marks with an additional one-year research experience of a recognized University/ Institution, and one publication and 55% marks or equivalent in Master’s degree/B.E/B.Tech. OR
- Master’s Degree/BE/B.Tech with 55% marks or equivalent Grade ‘B’ in UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent Grade in a point scale wherever Grading system is followed). Relaxation to SC/ST/OBC (Noncreamy layer)/Differently abled as per the UGC Regulations 2016.
Admission Details
Admission is Based on merit-Basis of their performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT) Entrance Exam.

College Infrastructure
Facilities are basic and not very modern. Study spaces and classrooms are simple. The library is the most useful part with a large collection of books and journals. The campus is large and green that makes it page full for research work.
Overall, it's a good experience.

College Infrastructure
Infrastructure is decent but not very modern. Classrooms and research spaces are basic. The library is very good and has a large collection of economics books and research paper. The campus is big and green.

College Infrastructure
The facilities provided at JNU are really nice. The JNU campus is one of a kind in the country with lush green trees, flowers, birds, peacocks, and many more. The entire campus has high-speed Wi-Fi. And all the hostels have separate mess with a very good quality of food with varieties catering to students coming from different areas of the country.
