Nit jamshedpur has been criticised for decades for its infrastructure. The classrooms have not changed or renovated a bit since it's inauguration as RIT . Although I would say it never felt short of equipment or labs or apparatus the state of the buildings were poorly maintained .It has a good enough libraries and wifi . Hostels have lan ports for internet connection although it is pretty unreliable. However with the construction of new academic building things might change in the future.
My institute have all the necessary infrastructure like proper classes. The new academic building we have got has air conditioned sloping lecture halls with comfy benches. We have 25x7 water and electricity. We are also endowed with 24x7 lan with min speed of 12mbps which may go as high as 60-70 mbps at peak hours. The library is just cool. Thousands of books of any genre you want to see. And most my friends miss the mess food when we are at home. So u can probably imagine the level of food.
For hostels ~single room from 2nd year double in first year but if you are lucky enough u can get it in 1st year as well? labs are shitty but hope for good some are under maintenance....a new academic building has been built and few are comparing it with MIT?(its good though) actually very good?..hostel m internet aate jate rehta h..but wifi is available in library and CC....movies or lectures download krne m problem ni hogi?
