Academics
Highly qualified professors who explain concepts clearly. A studious and competitive environment is provided which helps in the overall development of students. Updated curriculum for allround development..
College Infra
A huge campus sprawling over an area of around 300 acres. Lecture halls are nice and spacious, with air conditioned rooms, with smartboard facilities. Labs are good and the campus has a lot of greenery.
Placements
Along with technical branches, core branches are also given preference with 100 percent placement in metallurgy. Really nice placements in Computer Science branch. core placements are also good offering a lot of opportunities.

Academics
The teachers are well qualified and very helpful. The course curriculum is very relevant. There are two types of exams in our college - one is the mid-term exam and the other one is the end-term examination.They give grades in exams. We often get a good CGPA.
College Infra
The infrastructure of college and hostels is good .The library, academic buildings, grounds, and labs buildings are very good level. The facility of food in the mess is also good.Medical facilities are available 24/7. There are doctors for concerned about your diseases.
Placements
NIT Jamshedpur good placement. our college, almost 80% of students get placed. The average package offered is 14 LPA for the 2018 batch. Recruiting top companies are Google, Microsoft, De Shaw, etc. In my course, almost 70% get placed in the 2018 year. Almost 25% got internship offered.

I am a student of Masters of Computer Applications, and the teachers I have got are great. Very helping and technical.
No doubt the curriculum requires some positive advancements so that the masters student can get more opportunities.
College Infra
As a adult now pursuing my masters from National Institute Of Technology Jamshedpur. If we have to say something about infrastructure so that is great no doubt all the basic necessities are present in the college whether it be mess, hostel rooms and what not.
Placements
For MCA the placements are quite average they are not very very high. You have to focus on your skills so that you can get your dream package.
And also if you want go for further studies than that can also turn to be great.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR RANK REQUIRED IN HOME STATE QUOTA
Hello Arjun
The NIT Jamshedpur closing rank for CSE has been around 11,000 in the past years while other branches varies like ECE can go up to 17000 while Mechanical up to 50,000 in the home state quota.
So if you wish to get CSE or other top branch, you will have to have a rank under 15,000.

My st rank is 25,678 and crl is 9,33,567 in jee mains 2025. In josaa I have filled Nit jamshedpur (homestate), northeastern nit, few other nearby nits, iiits and gftis. All non cse and lower branch only. But I have not been allocated any seat in josaa till round 3. Do I have any chance to get seat in remaining 2 rounds?
Should I go for csab?
I have also applied for ojee counselling(only government colleges)

With ST rank 25,678 and CRL 9,33,567 in JEE Mains 2025 , your chances in JoSAA are very low, especially for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, even in lower branches. That’s why you haven’t got any seat till Round 3.
Here’s what you can do now:
1. JoSAA Remaining Rounds:
There is a very small chance, but not guaranteed. You may still wait till Round 5 and 6, but don’t fully depend on it.
2. CSAB Counselling:
Yes, you
should definitely go for CSAB
. Sometimes seats remain vacant after JoSAA, and you may get a chance in lower branches or less popular GFTIs/NITs. CSAB is your best chance now.
3. OJEE Counselling:
This is also a good backup option. Since you're focusing on government colleges, keep following OJEE rounds actively.

How is Production and Industrial Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur and is it good for girls
Production and industrial engineering at NIT, Jamshedpur is well, Particular for excellent place, Averaging around 8 to 12,00,000 per With core industry, like Tata motors and LNT Actively recruiting. The programme has solid infrastructure AC, Decent labs and sports facility, though some hostel and cleanliness issues have been noted. Importantly, it is considered very welcoming for female student. Bachelors have female only seats and internships or reportedly easier And student forum, PIE AND NIT JSR is described as a chilled branch which is strong core and non-core opportunities and is even recommended for women.
