72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
Master Degree in relevant branch of Engineering/Technology with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CPI 6.5
OR
Bachelor’s degree in relevant branch of Engineering/Technology with minimum 80 % marks or equivalent CPI 8.5

The selection procedure for admission to Ph.D. The program is based on a consistently good academic record, written test, and interview conducted by the Department. Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/ EWSare applicable as per GOI norms.
