Academics
The academic curriculum is rigorous and regularly updated. Faculty members are knowledgeable and encourage practical learning through projects, internships and research activities. The institute provides good laboratory facilities and opportunities for technical as well as interdisciplinary learning.
College Infra
NIT Silchar has a beautiful green campus spread over a large area with lakes, academic buildings, well-equipped laboratories, central library, hostels, sports complex, gym, health centre, bank, post office and shopping facilities. Classrooms are modern and the overall infrastructure is excellent for academics and student life.
Campus Life
Campus life at NIT Silchar is vibrant and enjoyable. Students participate in technical, cultural and sports activities throughout the year. The campus is peaceful, safe and surrounded by natural beauty, making it a memorable place for personal and professional growth.
Placements
NIT Silchar has a strong placement record, especially for CSE, ECE and other circuital branches. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year. Students with good CGPA, projects and internships generally get excellent placement opportunities.
Value For Money

Academics
The academic experience in this college is very good. Teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and always ready to help students in studies and projects. The syllabus is completed on time and regular classes are conducted properly. The college also organizes seminars, presentations and practical sessions which help students improve their knowledge and skills. The learning environment is positive and motivating.
College Infra
The college infrastructure is very good and well-maintained. Classrooms are clean and spacious with proper seating arrangements. The library has useful books and study materials. Laboratories are equipped with necessary equipment and WiFi facilities are also available. Faculty members are supportive and the campus environment is safe and hygienic for students.
Campus Life
Campus life in the college is enjoyable and engaging. The campus environment is friendly, safe and suitable for students. Various cultural programs, sports activities, seminars and events are organized regularly, which helps students develop confidence and teamwork skills. Students get opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities along with academics. The overall atmosphere of the campus is positive and memorable.
Placements

Academics
I am currently pursuing my master's in business administration from NIT Silchar. The quality of teaching here is very good; the teachers are very regular and disciplined in taking their classes. The curriculum here is totally updated according to the new educational policies. I think that studying in NIT Silchar is definitely going to make me job-ready.
College Infra
The college infrastructure facility is good, and it contains all the necessary facilities and equipment required for studying and completing the degree efficiently. It has proper laboratories, libraries, sports centres and hostels which has 24*7 Wi-Fi connection, and they are all well maintained.
Campus Life
The college campus is good and well maintained by institution, it organises various sports activities, fest, cultural programs which makes the life interesting at the campus.The campus is at a very good place.
Placements
The quality of placement is good here as it has Training and Placement Cell which takes care each and every placement activity. Apart from MBA it has various engineering departments (like the civil, electrical, etc department) which approximates the placement percentage to 78.35% while the average package stood at Rs12.25 LPA.
Value For Money
The return of Investment is good here as in my department with a combined fees of around 2.5-3 lakh we get all the facilities here in the campus itself. So, with this investment with gets an average package of around 7-7.5 lakh.

If your goal is placements and tech jobs , take AIT Pune IT .
Why?
- IT is much closer to CSE than Mechanical.
- You'll study programming, databases, networks, web development, etc.
- AIT has consistently strong placements with an average package around Rs 10–11 LPA and very high
