B.Des at PEC Chandigarh Offline Course

The B.Des program at Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh is a four-year full-time undergraduate course, approved by AICTE, with an annual intake of 30 students. Launched by the Department of Production & Industrial Engineering, the program aligns with the National Education Policy’s vision to strengthen design as a strategic tool for innovation and competitiveness.

The course is supported by a highly qualified faculty from top institutes like IITs, NITs, and PEC, and combines academic rigor with real-world exposure. Students are selected through national-level entrance exams like UCEED, JEE Main Paper-2, and NID-DAT. Facilities include modern workshops (CNC, 3D printing, carpentry, etc.) and advanced labs that provide hands-on experience.

Guest lectures and workshops by experts from IITs, NIDs, NIFTs, and industry professionals further enrich student learning. The program emphasizes functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability, aiming to develop innovative, socially responsible designers ready to impact society and industry.
