48 MonthsThe B.Des program at Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh is a four-year full-time undergraduate course, approved by AICTE, with an annual intake of 30 students. Launched by the Department of Production & Industrial Engineering, the program aligns with the National Education Policy’s vision to strengthen design as a strategic tool for innovation and competitiveness.
The course is supported by a highly qualified faculty from top institutes like IITs, NITs, and PEC, and combines academic rigor with real-world exposure. Students are selected through national-level entrance exams like UCEED, JEE Main Paper-2, and NID-DAT. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed the 12th class examination (Science, Commerce, and Humanities/Arts) in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Examination with atleast 60% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for ST/SC should be at least 55%. The candidates who have appeared in the 12th class Board examination in the years 2023, 2024, and 2025 will be eligible for admission provided they fulfill all other eligibility requirements.
Admission Details
Candidates with rank in National Level Entrance Examinations – 2025 (UCEED/NIDDAT/JEE (Main) Paper-2). The merit list will be prepared based on the ranks obtained in National Level Entrance Examinations. In the case of a candidate appearing in "more than one" National Examination-2025 (UCEED/NID-DAT/JEE (Main) Paper-2), the "best rank" in the National Level Examinations-2025 needs to be filled by the candidate.
