If you have mentioned the course you are interested in, it would have been easy to navigate you through the college details. Infact the college quality depends on the course you desire from, which means some courses have better placements and rank in some colleges but they wont be good for other courses. In terms of infrastructure the vit and srm are almost equally competitive.

SRMJEE is a specific form of SRM university in order to apply for the BTech course.

SRM university offers various other courses so the SRM application can be specifically for some course other than BTech.

It is a well known university with a number of students applying to be in the same.

According to reviews the  Amrita university got 100 position in NIRF (National institute Ranking Frame).

And the SRM university got 35th position and the VIT university got 13th position.

To get selected in this you will have you attain a rank within 10000 for CSE branch.

MS General Surgery is a three-year full-time course approved by MCI and offer by SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.

The institute is considered as best for MS general surgery for having excellent faculty, infrastructure and other facilities.

The admission shall be on the basis of NEET PG ranking.

Eligibility criteria-

Pass in MBBS or its equivalent degree recognized by Medical Council of India (Candidates completing the CRRI on or before 31 March are also eligible). Eligible NEET PG Score as prescribed by MCI.

The fee structure for Engineering stream at SRM is 2,60,000 for 1st year and 2,50,000 for 2, 3 and 4th year. The total fee for the course comes out to be 10,10,000.

The fee structure for Engineering stream at VIT is 1,98,000 for 1st year and 1,95,000 for 2,3 and 4th year. The total fee structure for the course comes to 7,83,000.

The fee structure for Engineering stream at BITS Pilani is 1,59,000 for 1st and 2nd semester.

Bot SRM College of Chennai and Vellore Institute of Technology are good institutions. Infrastructure if both the institutes are good and classrooms and laboratories equipped properly with projectors and other facilities for good study environment.

Coming to the fee structure the fees of SRM is bit too expensive in comparison to VIT. Faculties of both the institutes are skilled, knowledgeable and experienced.

Lastly the placement wing of VIT is good in comparison to SRM with top notch companies coming to recruit candidates.

So VIT has a slight advantage over SRM college of Chennai.
