Not so sure that u will get CSE chance of getting CSE is 90% but getting seat in KTR is easy for u.

i am very sorry to say , if you have all the exam cleared and have the exam with apssing marks you can get the addmssion in the SRM where as during the councelling the addmisntration asks mainly the marks card and the which branch you would like to go

SRM,Chennai CSE Closing Rank - 10000

Since you got a rank 17260,it indicates that there is very slim chances of you getting in main campus.However,I am also sharing with you other campuses closing rank incase you want to join:-

SRM,Ramapuram CSE Closing Rank - 65000

SRM,Vadapalani   CSE Closing Rank - 68000

SRM,NCR             CSE Closing Rank - 54000

SRM,Sonipat        CSE Closing Rank - 68000

Ofcourse you will,don’t worry about it,5160 is a pretty good rank for any branch and considering the fact that around 1200+ seats are available in CSE,you can very comfortably make your way into CSE .Just make sure you attend the counselling.If they are not ready to offer you a seat wait it out till final round of counselling.Gitam does follow this “supply on demand” policy.

But if you can get SRM then you can opt SRM.

Hi Ankit!!! Congratulations on your rank, I would like to inform you that you have every chances of getting CSE and ECE in main campus as the cutoff has been 10,000 & 27,000 respectively over the recent years.

The fees for B.Tech for SRM is Rs.2,50,000 per year excluding hostel and other charges.
