SRM university co ducts their own entrance exam for admisions into various courses for undergraduate and postgraduate program.

See, as you have mentioned that you have secured a rank of 15k which is quite good so there is no need to pay donation because you are not taking admission through direct entry or management quota. Then why are you paying a donation fees.

Also, if you have crossed their cutoff range for any particular branch then there is no chance or sense of asking for donations.

Better keep your money safe .

Fee structure in SRM Chennai for B.Tech. is nearly around 3 lakhs  per annum on an average. But fee changes from course to course.

The eligibility criteria is 10+2 passed. Duration of course is 4 years.

University also conducts the entrance test SRM JEE for the admission into college.

SRM University provides scholarship or fee concession based on merit in SRMJEEE. The scholarship is not provided based on marks scored in qualifying examination that is 10+2 or its equivalent or EAMCET entrance examination. In SRM University Andhra  Pradesh candidates securing rank in between 1-40 in SRM JEE  seeking admission to CSE are eligible to get founder's scholarship under this scheme a candidate will be eligible to get 100% scholarship. A candidate securing rank in between 41 to 115 seeking admission to CSE in SRM AP is eligible to get 100% scholarship. This is applicable for candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent from any board and secured the above mentioned rank. For non CSE group 100% scholarship is provided under founder's scholarship scheme if a candidate secure a rank in between 1-15 in SRMJEEE. Candidates securing rank in between 16-45 in SRMJEEE are eligible for 100% scholarship under merit based scholarship scheme. Candidates securing rank above the given rank are eligible for scholarship under different categories namely category A, category B, Category C and Category D and the fee concession is 90%, 75%, 50%, 25% respectively. SRM Chennai is the main campus and the best campus for CSE .

The placements are also really good in SRM Chennai , the average package is nearly around 5 LPA.  and nearly 900 students in CSE branch got campus placements.  The fee is nearly around 3 Lakh per year  and hostel and mess facilities are provided.

The infrastructure is excellent. College has all of the necessary facilities and equipment. SRM is one of India's greenest campuses, hence garbage is scarce on the campus grounds and paths. Almost all of the amenities are in good condition. The academics are also well thought.

Student so secure at least 75% to 85% marks in 12 science examination eligible for tuition fee concession 10% percent for the first year fees students who ,  secure 85 to 90% marks in 12 science examination will be eligible for getting 25% of the fees concession of the first year fees. The candidate who is eligible for ever mention criteria to get concession are able to get concession of fees for the first year only.
