Amity University | M.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings).
Dear Aspirant
Hope you are doing well
Now let me go through your question
Amrita university is better than srm
Amrita Vishwa Veedyapitham Banglore campus is an UGC, AICTE approved and NAAC accredited grade A college.
It offers B.Tech programs at the UG level. At the PG level, the campus offers M.Tech, MBA-MS collaborative program, M.Sc. and MA courses. The admission to B.Tech Courses are given based on AEEE examination conducted by Amrita. The basic
Eligibility criteria required for B.Tech is that the candidate should have passed 10+2 board examination with at least 60% marks and should have a valid AEEE score.
You can compare both of them by visiting link given in below https://www.careers360.com/compare-colleges
Hi aspirant
you have got a descent score. As 2021 SRM expected closing rank for Computer science and Engineering is 9500 to 10500.And for Electrical and communication engineering the expected closing rank is 26000 to 272000. It is less possible to get admission in CSE but you have the chance of getting ECE. Annual tuition fee for cse is 1,78,500 and for ECE is 1,05,000

Hi sir,
You better have mentioned the fee category she got at VIT. With the mentioned rank in SRMJEE, getting top branches such as CSE, IT at KTR that is the main campus of SRM institute of sciences and technology would not be possible. She will be getting other branches, through a counselling process where choice filling for the preferences is done. I would personally suggest to stick with Vellore institute of technology, Chennai as it edges over SRM in several aspects. VIT provides better infrastructure, faculties, job opportunities and has excellent placement records.
The average package for engineering at SRM is around 4.5-5 lacs while it is around 7 lacs for VIT. Vellore institute of technology has been ranked 15th by NIRF in engineering rankings which is way higher than 43rd of SRM.
Personal note- You should turn towards SRM if your daughter has got a seat in fourth or fifth category as then you will get better return of investments.
Hope it helps!!
Hi Anbu,
First of all congratulations on clearing the entrance exams with such a good rank. See, the comparison in two different colleges depends upon some factors. But for instance, I would suggest you go with SRM. The reason for choosing SRM over Jain depends upon some factors and these are:
The Jain University is allocated 85 ranks no. While ERM has 36 NIRF University Rankings. The courses offered in Jain university are more than SRM university but this is not a factor in deciding the college as no. of courses does not decide the future of college yet fills the students. The Admission procedure is the same in both, it is based on the entrance exams. The main topic is placements and Academics. So, the academics are better in SRM compared to Jain university.
Tha average package offered in SRM is nearly equal to 6.5 LPA while in JAIN university is around 4.5 LPA. So, these are the required reasons for the comparison.
At last, the choice is yours, choose wisely.

Greetings of the day dear aspirant,
Comparing two different colleges having almost the same growth is a bit difficult. So, as far as I know, that the infrastructure and campus of SRM are far better than that of VIT CHENNAI and accommodation is better for SRM because it is there in the main city. The VIT is new so the building and classrooms are better.
But the main concern is related to academics and placements so, VIT CHENNAI is better in terms of academics, class timings and placements.
At last, it depends upon you. So, choose well.
Feel free to ask any query.
Thank you and all the best:)
