It had most of the facilities required in a modern university , but wish the main auditorium was bigger as all the students of even one class cant fit in properly in it , were bit more spacious , but it has a canteen , a club house to hang out and it was clean.

The studies and quality of teaching is one of the best in the country in this field , yes the curriculum is based on the recent developments in the field , though certain new field of studies like Behavioural Science could be added as many students love that field , it makes us job ready to some extent , but its more suited to people who are looking to be in academics itself

Not many multinational companies come here , but any local companies do come here to offer placements . Around 10 to 15% students get placed every year , but a lot of people get jobs outside campus. Average salary was around 3 to 4 LPA . There were certain difficulties in terms of placement during my time due to covid , college was supportive in terms of how difficult the time was for us.

My entire course fees was around RS. 5000 and due to covid they decided not to take exam fees and other fees from us which was really gracious of them.

I loved the campus the staff , the teachers and also my classmates and seniors were very cordial , kind and helpful.

Its one of the oldest and definitely one of the countries finest institutes in studies of economics , its just not that highlighted

College has a good infrastructure with a central library , large classroom, projectors in every class, two lifts and a good canteen. You have an access to thousands of books and materials. the food is hygenic with good taste.

My subject was geology and quality of teaching was very good here. Most of the faculties have 10-15 years of experience . So no complaint ragarding teaching quality. You will be taught like this way that you will be ready for the job role.

Placement is average. Most of the people go for Phd after the course completion. Average salary lies around 3-4 lakh which you can consider as a drawback. Though college is supportive but in case of placement you don't get that much of support.

The yearly fees was 2-3k per year. So it worths every penny.

Yes this college infrastructure is very good..very clean, hygenic.thereis everything like wifi laboratories library.. facilities are all there.. students feel comfortable there we get good foods in canteen.

Academics are very good.. I have completed B.A honours in this college.. teachers are very supportive helpful.They always try to solve students prblm ..Yes all the curriculum are updated and also job related.

Actually this is Degree college..so there no placement..but the quality of curriculum is very high..All of the teachers are very good .After i completed this course I got selected in a Reputed school.

you can expect to just get adegree but there is nothing more to explore. it doesnot have any sports or other basic college neccecity. but the teachers are super helpful and guide us at each and every step of the time.

the syllabus is still not up to date. and the classes are not optimum for the current genration and you can expect to get somewhat labour degree to sustain yourself. the carriculam is very rigid and doesnot offer good assistance to students.

i have never recived a single offer from any of the companies. we donot even know what placement means. this is the sad reality. the education system needs to be more freindly and should promote equal sex ratio of boys and girls.

The college has a really well maintained laboratory ( especially chemistry) with all the available facilities. The classrooms are clean and tidy. The college also has a library with all the books that are needed for graduation purposes.

The teachers are highly experienced and are very helpful. They maintain a highly interactive atmosphere in the classroom and make concepts crystal clear for us students. Even the lab technicians are very cooperative.

Most of the students of the college are placed in many reknowned institutions across India . In fact , many of the students are in highly prestigious universities around the globe as well . It's a matter of honour for the alumni!

In less than 5000 rupees per semester, it's highly cost - effective.

The infrastructure of my college is amazing and it has a beautiful campus. It has well equipped laboratories for the respective departments. The teachers here use boards as well as projectors for teaching. The library has numerous collections of books and magazines. The college does not have a hostel facility of its own but many PG's are available within a distance of 1 km. The canteen is the best place here with several food items and the quality of the food served is also great and hygienic.

I completed my B.Com Honours in Accounting and Finance in the year 2020 from Prafulla Chandra College also known as South City College which is affiliated under University of Calcutta. The quality of teaching here is good and updated. Currently the college follows the CBCS (Choice Based Credit system) guidelines where it helps to boost the academics of the students. Tutorials, Viva , Laboratory and Project Work are given equal weightage which makes the students excel in all parts of the field.

The placements of this college is average. Many IT and BPO companies visit the college like JIO reliance, Nexval Infotech, etc. The average salary offered is 10k-15k. Few students get placed from the college as most of them opt out for better options and higher studies. Overall placements are satisfactory.

As it is a government college the course cost per year for the Bcom Honours program is nearly 5k-6k. It is worth the money as you get to avail a lot of facilities inside college at a very minimal course cost. Freshers and Farewells events are amazing and very popular in our college. Wifi facility is there in this campus.

The Campus life is great here. The location of the college plays a important role as it located near Dhakuria Lake. The atmosphere is very serenic and soothing. It is located in a safe space and is reachable from any parts of Kolkata. Metro and Bus services are available.All types of emergency services are also available.

Overall I like this college a lot. You should definitely opt for this college if u get a chance in any of the courses. It falls under the top 5 commerce colleges of Kolkata.

From the infrastructural point of view, our college has great qualities. We have digital classrooms equipped with all sort of facilities, well equipped lab, and an enriched library. From the hygiene perspective I will not say that it is great and it needs improvement.

I am pursuing my MSc in geography and the quality of teaching in our University is very good. But in my opinion sometime it lacks. The teaching style of some professors could have been better and those class are not intuitive also. Other than that everything looks fine and if someone wants to pursue research he or she might feel this is the best place to do it.

This is a category where our University lacks the most because being a master program it doesn't have any placement as such. show the quality of placements is not at all great in our department but some other departments welcome companies for campusing and that is a great thing. I don't know much about how the average salary offered because we don't have that kind of experience.

University of Calcutta is definitely the best in terms of value for money education. With averaging academic fees of 6k to 10k per year, it is one of the most affordable education institution to be in.

Campus life of university is one of the plus point of it. Student gets too much involved in studies as well as sports and recreational activities. The location of all University is one of the best I can say. The place is also filled with greenery so we don't have any issue with environmental perspectives. It is definitely a safe zone. As the situation of our anniversary is very good it can easily handle emergencies.

All in all I can say that if someone wants a value for money education with great infrastructure and great campus life he or she can definitely opt for this university. But I must say that the resources of our University are not being used to its utmost potential and there it needs a lot of improvement.

College's infrastructure is genuinely too good of my College with everything properly organized and well maintained at the same time. Food and canteen is hygienic of my college. College also has a well established sport area inside the campus.

Teacher are also well qualified with good teaching abilities and student friendly in respect to communicating with them. Everything of the College is up to date which is related to the course and academic of a student.

Placement is the area where my college lacks because there is extremely limited companies that comes to our college as compare to the number of students in my college. But at the same time, I was never the part of placement process so it's not possible to state the level of selection process.

College's infrastructure, facilities, education and hygiene is the reason why I feel outstanding in case of value of money

Campus life is satisfactory as the campus is not that huge in area but yes, it's well maintained to handle any situation.

College is so far good for me.

This is one of the oldest colleges of Kolkata and my dream was to be a part of my of this college.After the merit list published and I saw my name and I select this college without thinking anything twice.

I am a student of Bsc. Botany department.From my point of view the syllabus and the curriculum is updated enough and also the faculties are also friendly in behaviour.They are trying to clear all the doubts that we have and also the labs are providing well equipped instrument that helped us a lot.

As a Bsc student, the college is not provided any job opportunities.But every year lots of Bcom students went for the job placement and bagged various jobs from the last past 10 although we'll get the internship opportunities if we score good marks and maintain our CGPA around 9 to 9.5.

Around ₹8000 was my first semester fee.Lodging anf food cost for me another ₹6000 per month and around 1200 for a personal tutor.All in all food is cheap.The college doesn't have its own hostel.But there are ample of them available nearby.

It's infrastructure is great and since it is old there might be some issues but overall its great, with all the needed infrastructure, laboratories, facilities, and equipment. Classrooms, laboratories and especially the library is of great help. hygiene maintenance is ok. Toilets can be much cleaner if paid attention.

I studied bsc. I have constantly loved science. The professors are fantastic at what they do. They honestly help you apprehend and love what you study. This College is exceptional and i am happy that i decided to study here, it really helped me in building my career.

The college does not have a placement cell. They have higher studies option . Placement isn't presented though internships are available for those who want. You can definitely go for out campus jobs and placement.

Totally valuable as fas as money is considered. The fees is low and affordable. 100% value for money is provided in terms of everything.

Overall campus life was amazing, i made a lot of memories in this College and I hope that you will also make a lot. You will have some of the best time of your life at my college.
