Great campus life.
Good college.
Calcutta University was one of oldest college in West Bengal. We saw large and well developed classrooms, library, faculty rooms and a small garden in our college. Many types of novels, story books, literature books were available in our library in our time.
The Basic eligibility criteria of our college admission was minimum 75% marks in B.A honours (for M.A Bengali). Syllabus of M.A Bengali was quite rough .Literature, bengali grammar and novels were in our syllabus. The professors were to knowledgeable and helpful but they were too strict also. We feel very proud to get talented teachers in our department.
Placement is really very moderate. Some of our seniors got job in small coaching centres. Every year almost 30-40% students are got jobs. But Real scenario is quite tough. Our some senior got job in government school as a teacher.
The infrastructure is decent and has everything needed for beard course. The classrooms are comfortable and the Library is useful for assignments and preparation. New facilities could be maintained better though.
Academics are quite good, especially if you are serious about teaching, the course covers both theory and practical aspects and the faculty explain concepts. Well, teaching practice also gives useful classroom exposure.
Placement support is not the main attraction of the beard course. Students generally have to search for teaching jobs and their own. The degree is useful for schools and for teaching opportunities, but campus placements are Limited.
The course is reasonably worth the money, considering the university reputation and the opportunities it can open in teaching the academic expose and practical training, make the overall experience worthwhile.
Campus life is fairly enjoyable. Although B.ED is more focused on academics and practical work. They are opportunities to interact with students from different backgrounds and overall atmosphere is comfortable and friendly.
Overall, my experience has been good. The course provides a proper mix of theory, practical, teaching and academic learning placement could be stronger, but the University reputation is definitely a major advantage.

My college infrastructure is not that good . I think it needs to be developed for students .Overall its average but if you want fun activities then you should think twice before admission in my college but there’s a library which pretty good.
If you look academically my university is doing very good as they made internships mandatory which is again for the development of students. And also teachers are good they provide notes and teaches accordingly.
