    Calicut University Admission Process

    Calicut University Admission - The university has a dedicated department known as Directorate of Admission (DoA) established in 2014 to ensure smooth functioning of Calicut University admission process. The varsity offers admission to postgraduate level programmes only. There are two ways by which candidates can take admission in University of Calicut courses - entrance exam based and merit of the last qualifying examination. The university conducts its own entrance exam. GATE score is accepted for admission in MTech course. As per University of Calicut admission procedure, candidates are required to register on the Calicut University admission portal (online) and attend the counselling conducted by the university. Based on candidates' scores in the entrance exam and past academic record, seats are allotted to them in various departments of Calicut University.

    Calicut University Admission Process for MA, MCom, M.Lib.I.Sc, MAJMC, MPhil Courses

    • Firstly candidates are required to open the Calicut University admission portal and register for the PG Centralised Admission Process (PGCAP) conducted by Directorate of Admission, Calicut University. 

    • After registering candidates need to appear for the university entrance examination. However, not every specialisation requires students to sit for the entrance exam. 

    • On announcement of the result, candidates need to participate in the counselling conducted by the university.

    • Based on aspirants marks in the entrance examination and academic performance, seats are allotted to them. 

    • After seats are allotted to the candidates at university campus they are required to visit the campus.
